Senior Accountant

Summary

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team responsible for preparing journal entries, intercompany review, inventory accounting reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations. The role supports monthly close activities for multiple legal entities across the Americas and reports to the Assistant Controller while collaborating with the finance team. The position focuses on ownership of closing entries and related balance sheet accounts and supports reporting and analysis tasks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly closing process for multiple legal entities with focus on LATAM companies
• Prepare and submit all intercompany reconciliations
• Oversee intra-brand accounting with group affiliates
• Prepare and post rent entries from planning tools into SAP
• Record payroll and benefits related expenses including commissions and bonuses
• Record journal entries related to sales and accruals and maintain prepaid schedules
• Create and maintain insurance amortizations and accrual schedules and perform obsolescence analysis
• Prepare KPI reports and detailed inventory and adjustment reports for management
• Reconcile employee Online Boutique sales and perform monthly inventory valuation reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or similar field
• 5 years of related experience (posting lists 5 to 7 years)
• Strong communication and analytical skills with ability to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail with awareness of broader business scope
• Solid Excel proficiency including v-lookup pivot tables and macros
• Retail and wholesale accounting experience required
• SAP experience preferred
