Job Description

Summary

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team responsible for journal entries, intercompany review, inventory accounting reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations, supporting the monthly close for multiple legal entities across the Americas and reporting to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly closing process for multiple legal entities with focus on LATAM companies
  • Prepare and submit all intercompany reconciliations
  • Oversee intra-brand accounting with group affiliates
  • Prepare and post rent entries from Anaplan to SAP
  • Record payroll and benefits related expenses including commissions and bonuses
  • Prepare journal entries related to sales and accruals
  • Maintain prepaid schedules and insurance amortizations and accruals
  • Perform inventory analysis including obsolescence, valuation and G/L account reconciliations
  • Assist with financial statement reporting in consolidation tool and support audits

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or similar field
  • 5 years experience in a similar capacity
  • Retail and wholesale experience required
  • Strong communication, analytical and multitasking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Solid computer proficiency with emphasis on Excel functions and macros
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience preparing intercompany reconciliations and inventory reporting
