Responsibilities- Responsible for the timely financial closing process for month-end and year-end closes and ensuring compliance with IFRS & Group guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Accounting, Brand Finance, Boutique Controlling, and Operations teams for successful completion of core duties in general ledger maintenance and reporting.
- Handle fixed asset accounting including creating, maintaining, and monitoring related CAPEX reporting.
- Review and analyze the trial balance for assigned business areas and provide commentary for variances if necessary.
- Execute all aspects of general accounting functions, recording journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, balance sheet, and P&L analysis.
- Monitor and process adjustments for sales and margin postings for all distribution channels: Retail, Wholesale & E-commerce.
- Engage in all aspects of inventory accounting including recording journal entries, calculating all inventory-related provisions, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
- Responsible for sales, margin, inventory, and intercompany management reporting.
- Analyze and reconcile gift certificates, merchandise credits, and customer deposit accounts.
- Prepare monthly lease accounting entries for assigned business areas.
- Provide support for unclaimed property reporting and state filings.
- Support process improvement projects to ensure internal controls compliance.
- Participate in annual internal and external audits.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects within inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany processes.
- Support and participate in ad-hoc accounting projects.
- Participate in key user testing related to new system processes as required.
Requirements- Accounting degree required with a minimum of five years of experience.
- Good understanding of financial concepts (P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet analysis) and experience in data analytics.
- Result-oriented team player able to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of integrity.
- Strong sense of responsibility, self-starter, well organized, able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.) and financial system skills.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
- High proficiency in written and verbal communication across various levels of management.
