Summary
The Senior Accountant will manage and oversee financial operations for assigned business areas including inventory accounting, sales and margin analysis, fixed assets, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group guidelines. This role partners with Accounting, Brand Finance, Boutique Controlling, and Operations to support month-end and year-end closes, audits, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage timely month-end and year-end close processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and group policies
- Prepare and review journal entries general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
- Maintain fixed asset accounting and CAPEX reporting
- Perform inventory accounting including provisions reconciliations and related journal entries
- Analyze sales margin postings across retail wholesale and e-commerce channels
- Prepare lease accounting entries and support unclaimed property reporting and state filings
- Reconcile gift certificates merchandise credits and customer deposit accounts
- Participate in internal and external audits and support key user testing for new systems
- Lead and support process improvement projects to strengthen internal controls
Requirements
- Accounting degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of P&L cash flow and balance sheet analysis and data analytics
- Proficiency in Excel including v-lookups and pivot tables
- Experience with financial systems SAP experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills high integrity and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across management levels
- Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team
