Senior Allocator

As a Senior Allocator at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in the Merchandising Inventory team, focusing on the functional and technical design of JDA Allocation and Assortment Builder. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of inventory deployment and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive results.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Inventory Deployment suite and continue to develop proficiency.
• Train, coach, and mentor partners in people, process, and technology groups within Inventory Deployment.
• Support the ongoing evolution of Inventory Deployment tools to enhance processes and outcomes.
• Communicate effectively by adapting style based on the audience.
• Identify opportunities and advocate for solutions to support business needs.
• Partner with the business on complex retail business requirements to drive results.
• Contribute to the creation and refinement of standard practices.
• Show flexibility to support the business amidst changing priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ Allocation or related experience required.
• JDA knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience supporting a high-sales volume category.
• Effective listening, communication, and presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
• Strong training and facilitation skills.
• Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment.
