Senior Counsel, Anti-Counterfeiting

Summary

Lead the U.S. anti-counterfeiting program, protecting brand equity and client trust across digital and physical environments. Develop enforcement strategy, oversee external partners and a legal team, and advise stakeholders on brand protection matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute anti-counterfeiting strategy, governance, processes, and performance metrics.
• Lead online enforcement and physical-location investigations, overseeing workflows, vendors, investigators, and outside counsel.
• Manage program budgets and use technology and data to improve detection and enforcement.
• Coach and develop team members, advise internal stakeholders, deliver training, and represent the company with external organizations.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar; New York admission preferred.
• At least 7 years of trademark and anti-counterfeiting experience, including investigations, civil enforcement, and work with law enforcement and/or criminal matters.
• Deep understanding of counterfeit detection technology, online platforms, notice-and-takedown procedures, and AI-enabled tools.
• Strong judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work in person at the New York office at least three days per week.
