Job Description

Summary

The Senior Data Analyst will partner with Data, Tech, and Business teams to solve complex problems through data, building scalable models and delivering actionable analytics. You will develop and maintain transformations and models using dbt within a BigQuery environment, promote data quality and best practices, and communicate insights to stakeholders. The role requires a proactive, collaborative approach and a focus on delivering reliable self-service data products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clear, scalable data models and semantic layer designs.
  • Build and maintain dbt transformations and models to ensure data consistency and reusability in BigQuery.
  • Deliver reports, KPIs, and dashboards to support data-driven decision making.
  • Identify, collect, and transform data from multiple sources following layered architecture principles.
  • Promote best practices in version control, testing, documentation, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Detect data quality issues and operational risks, driving recommendations and prioritization.
  • Communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences and support peer reviews and mentoring.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and window functions.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt for data modelling, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
  • Knowledge of Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking with clear communication skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of driving outcomes independently.
