Job Description

Summary

Experienced Senior General Liability Claims Analyst responsible for independently managing and adjusting a wide range of general liability claims including customer injury, property damage, and product liability in a self-insured, self-administered environment. Role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, support for attorney-represented pre-litigation claims, and involvement in investigations, regulatory matters, and invoicing. The position emphasizes strong customer service, analytical skills, and the ability to handle a high-volume caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of claim handling including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and administration.
  • Provide customer service and maintain communication with claimants and internal stakeholders.
  • Support attorney-represented pre-litigation claims and coordinate with legal counsel.
  • Conduct investigations and gather documentation for claims and potential litigation.
  • Handle subpoenas, discovery, and claims-related regulatory matters.
  • Administer invoicing and maintain accurate claim files and documentation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Risk Management, legal, and business partners.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exercise judgment consistent with company ethical standards and protect confidential information.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a general liability claims analyst or examiner.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of tort, contract indemnity, insurance issues, and medical and legal terminology.
  • Experience with self-insured and self-administered employer preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and claims or legal document management systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong time-management abilities.
  • Proven analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
