Summary
Lead and support distribution center engineering and projects to improve processes, systems, and performance metrics. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, develop business cases and documentation, and collaborate with cross functional teams to support distribution operations and supply chain expansion.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from design through implementation, including budgets and timelines
- Analyze distribution center systems, layouts, and processes to identify improvements
- Develop and test new processes and system functionalities to support operations
- Create and maintain process and layout documentation
- Partner with engineering, operations, IT, vendors and other departments to drive initiatives
- Perform data analysis and reporting to support capacity and throughput planning
- Propose recommendations to streamline and standardize DC processes
- Oversee and mentor industrial engineers and manage vendor relationships
- Provide updates and presentations to leadership
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in a distribution center or similar industry
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data management
- Working knowledge of WMS (Manhattan preferred)
- Experience leading projects and others with continuous improvement focus
- Familiarity with labor management preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
