Responsibilities- Manage U.S. Intellectual Property disputes, including drafting cease and desist letters and preparing opposition notices.
- Negotiate and draft settlement agreements and manage international trademark disputes.
- Create and implement IP strategies that align with global priorities.
- Advise stakeholders on copyright, patent, domain name, and trade secret issues.
- Partner with the US Legal corporate team to draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
- Manage the senior paralegal and the Legal Anti-Diversion team.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve Anti-Diversion program objectives.
- Align program objectives with Chanel’s long-term vision for the brand.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to enforce policies and protect Chanel’s distribution.
Requirements- JD from an accredited Law school.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in trademark prosecution and litigation.
- Deep understanding of intellectual property law, focusing on trademarks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and creative thinking.
- Proficiency with cloud-based document and database systems.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Partially remote position requiring a minimum of three days in-person office presence in New York City.
