Summary
Senior Leader, Home Delivery will lead vision and deliver operational excellence across warehouse and home delivery functions, providing strategic oversight and coaching to elevate the customer experience. The role includes P&L accountability, vendor performance management, continual improvement, and resolution of escalated customer issues. The leader will travel within an assigned geographic territory as needed and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and direction for daily workflow across warehouse and home delivery functions
- Assess, coach, train, mentor and develop direct reports to optimize performance
- Own all facets of P&L management including analysis and reporting
- Align home delivery experience to luxury service standards
- Manage and hold third party carriers and logistics vendors accountable to cost service and quality metrics
- Drive continual improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Address and resolve escalated customer service issues promptly
- Ensure site compliance to operational standards and audits
- Visit clients in assigned geographic territory as required
Requirements
- 5+ years leadership experience in furniture home delivery warehouse operations or a similar field
- Experience leading third party carrier providers and vendor relationships
- Knowledge of profit and loss profit margins accounting and related business principles
- Strong written and oral communication analytical problem solving and decision making skills
- Proven ability to hire train coach and manage employee performance
- Computer literacy with daily use of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Ability to visit clients within assigned territory
- Must pass background MVR and drug screen
