Job Description

Summary

As a Senior Lease Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting Luxottica North America's lease accounting activities. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations while working closely with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Manage various lease-based accounting activities, including accruals, deferrals, and lease valuations.
  • Complete month-end close duties accurately and timely, including recording and approving journal entries.
  • Interact with accounting partners in North America and globally.
  • Prepare and review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and communicating unreconciled items to management.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Collaborate with auditors for successful completion of audits and reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of comparable experience.
  • Strong accounting background with critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • In-depth understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Self-starter with initiative to solve problems and achieve goals.
  • Ability to analyze problems and reach logical conclusions.
  • Desire to grow, improve, and innovate.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships in a team environment.
  • MBA, CPA, and SAP experience preferred.
