Summary
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of process and building equipment while supporting the implementation of the Preventative Maintenance program. Coordinates small projects and in-house fabrication, assists the Maintenance Foreman with work orders and parts inventory, and troubleshoots CNC and production machinery. Trains technicians, communicates with vendors and supports outside contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, production machinery and other building systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines, including electrical and mechanical systems, drives, pneumatics, and precision alignment.
- Support and help manage the Building Management System (BMS) and execute preventative maintenance tasks per program requirements.
- Coordinate small projects and in-house fabrication: procure parts, schedule tasks, and communicate with requestors.
- Test and inspect electrical components of emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA and agency standards.
- Assist Maintenance Foreman with work order assignments, parts inventory and technician training.
- Work with outside vendors and support contractors to complete service and project work on schedule.
- Document continuous improvement opportunities and propose revisions to preventative maintenance programs.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of related maintenance experience.
- Advanced plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry and fabrication skills; ability to read blueprints and use power tools and craft equipment.
- Experience with CNC troubleshooting, repair and programming; familiarity with Fanuc and Siemens preferred.
- Strong computer skills and effective verbal and written English communication.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and to respond to building emergency calls after hours; flexible to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime as needed.
- Ability to coordinate tasks with outside vendors and support contractor work.
- Preferred: technical degree, welding experience, leadership experience and knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
