Summary
Senior Manager, Key Accounts is the primary contact for national retail partners, responsible for driving account growth, sales and inventory planning, and securing premium in-store and online exposure. This role partners with retailers such as Ulta and Nordstrom and collaborates cross functionally with marketing, digital, visual merchandising, and planning to execute launch and assortment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail clients and buying offices
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and maximize revenue
- Coordinate cross functional efforts between sales, marketing, product, and planning
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and contribute to new business pitches
- Manage inventory planning and optimize product assortment for retail partners
- Lead business reviews and report on KPIs, sales forecasts, and account health
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key accounts
- Resolve client issues and provide proactive problem-solving and support
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform account strategies
Requirements
- 6 years minimum experience in account management, sales, or sales planning
- Proven ability to retain and grow strategic accounts with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field often preferred
- Comfortable managing client relationships and leading cross functional projects
- Physical ability to perform light to moderate lifting and remain stationary for periods while working
