Senior Manager - Logistics Operations

Summary

The Senior Manager of Logistics Operations leads daily activities at the Dayton, NJ Distribution and Service Center, ensuring throughput, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment performance for e-commerce, retail and wholesale channels. This role manages staff allocation across multiple shifts, enforces safety and operational procedures, and partners cross-functionally to prioritize orders and drive continuous improvement. The Senior Manager implements process enhancements, oversees receiving, warehousing and distribution, and escalates issues to maintain service levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily logistics operations including small package, LTL and order fulfillment to meet service levels.
• Allocate and schedule staff across shifts, assign tasks, and follow up on work results to ensure productivity.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, inventory accuracy and support cycle counts in partnership with Inventory Control.
• Onboard, train and mentor employees to build accountability and maximize output.
• Develop and implement process area layouts and flow strategies to optimize product movement and space.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with Distribution Services, Traffic and Inventory Control to resolve and escalate operational issues.

Requirements

• 10 years of relevant logistics or distribution experience in a similar role or department.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; supervisory experience required.
• WMS experience (Manhattan Associates preferred) and Cegid knowledge preferred.
• Conversational Spanish preferred; strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint; solid budgeting judgement and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule including weekends and peak periods.
