SummaryAs a Senior Manager of Product Management for Sweaters Polo, you will support the Lead and Head in managing the product lifecycle, focusing on end-to-end product development within line architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful development and execution of sweater products, coordinating with various teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and influence cross-functional teams in sweater development.
- Act as a subject matter expert in yarns, knitting techniques, and yarn mill relationships.
- Attend hand-off meetings with Design, Technical, and raw materials teams.
- Generate and manage color palettes and coordinate with factories/mills.
- Coordinate with fabric and trim development on sourcing and timelines.
- Ensure accurate tech packages are generated and sent to vendors.
- Work with overseas partners to deliver sales samples on time.
- Lead weekly WIPS meetings with Cross Functional Team on development status.
- Participate in bi-weekly fittings and update Tech Packs with changes.
- Oversee tracking charts for workflow execution and approvals.
- Secure all yarns needed for prototypes and manage stock trim approvals.
- Oversee timelines for fabric, trim, and prototype approvals.
- Communicate extensively with manufacturers and offshore offices.
- Review line with Merchandising & Design to troubleshoot styles.
- Coordinate R&D needs throughout the product life cycle.
- Manage fabric mill card book and seasonal program books.
- Provide clear communication to offices and vendor base.
- Coordinate seasonal style approval for stock with Technical and Design.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements- Experience in a sweater manufacturing and sourcing environment.
- Knowledge of yarns and knitting techniques.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of PLM or product category preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Flex PLM, GFE+, SAP, Ariba, Airtable.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing business needs.
