Senior Merchandise Control Analyst (12 Month Contract)

Summary

The Senior Merchandise Control Analyst is a 12-month contract role based in Toronto supporting the Off-Price Buying Team. This hybrid position (two remote days per week) is based at the Central Office and focuses on managing buying processes, inventory allocations, and online Final Cut operations to ensure accurate product data and timely delivery. The role emphasizes data accuracy, cross-functional coordination, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create styles and purchase orders, input attributes, and ensure accuracy of data entries
• Communicate POs to vendors and manage cancellations, deferments, style and price changes
• Oversee allocations, replenishment programs, forecasting, model setup and adjustments at style and size level
• Process returns/RTV, obtain RA numbers, and troubleshoot distribution center and order status issues
• Manage Final Cut online operations: apply/remove final sale flags, audit website pricing and categorization, and publish styles
• Coordinate with Production, Help Desk, and vendors to allocate samples, add vendors/brands, and resolve issues
• Support process improvements and act as a collaborative problem solver within the team

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in forecasting and/or merchandise control (minimum 1 year)
• Experience with forecasting or demand planning and understanding of basic retail math
• Strong Excel skills; Tableau knowledge is an asset; quick to learn new ERP technology
• Experience coordinating vendors and external partners with strong stakeholder management
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to process improvements
