Summary
The Senior Network Administrator maintains and supports on-premises and cloud network and infrastructure environments, focusing on security, compliance, monitoring, and availability to support business operations and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer Windows and Linux servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage cloud email and collaboration platforms and day-to-day operations.
- Monitor performance, capacity, perform updates, patching, and maintenance in alignment with change management.
- Collaborate with network teams on switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and secure remote access.
- Design, operate, and secure identity platforms including Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Implement and maintain security technologies and baseline configurations, including IPS, firewalls, EDR, DLP, and email filtering.
- Investigate, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents and provide Tier 2/3 support.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and testing to meet RPO/RTO targets.
- Create and maintain technical and security documentation and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Information Technology degree or diploma.
- MCSE certification and CISSP or actively pursuing CISSP.
- CISM designation or actively pursuing CISM.
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Hyper-V, Microsoft Server platforms, Exchange, backup technologies, and network protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and identity and access management technologies.
- Familiarity with data centre management, ITIL, ITSM, and change management practices.
- Strong customer focus, relationship management, and team leadership skills.
- Advanced technical skills in WAN, LAN, server, network management, and telecommunication.
- 4 years of advanced technical experience, preferably in a retail environment.
