Summary
The Senior Operations Controller oversees efficient stockroom operations to ensure accurate inventory and support exceptional client service by assisting the selling process and executing operational tasks. This role manages shipping and receiving, inventory reconciliation, merchandise movement, and supports store projects to maintain boutique standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving processes and escalate issues to Store Director or Operations Manager
- Manage timely movement of merchandise including transfers returns to vendor and damages
- Oversee cycle counts scheduled inventories and reconciliation efforts
- Print and ticket merchandise handle returns and price adjustments
- Process repairs and damages according to company guidelines
- Pack handle and store merchandise to company standards
- Assist with physical maintenance of the boutique as needed
- Support selling staff to ensure high level of client experience
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Requirements
- 2 years of retail experience minimum luxury or contemporary preferred
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze information identify priorities and solve problems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using retail systems and shipping software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing bending and lifting
- Team player with high degree of integrity and work ethic
