Summary
The Senior Operations Manager leads warehouse operations to drive safety, quality, performance, efficiency, and cost reduction while developing managers and enabling succession planning across the network. This role oversees day-to-day operational processes, policies, and programs and partners with on-site and virtual teams to implement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately seven managers and their supporting teams across multiple shifts and departments.
- Recruit, select, onboard, and train leaders to support operational needs.
- Drive overall safety, quality, and performance metrics and promote equity within the organization.
- Meet warehouse financial standards by providing budget information, monitoring expenditures, and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive KPI metrics, 4DX, and facility performance scorecards.
- Partner with operational support teams to test, pilot, and implement building solutions.
- Manage projects, programs, and initiatives within the facility.
- Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and determine actions.
Requirements
- Six or more years of warehouse experience in a managerial role.
- Proven experience developing leaders and growing leadership competencies in direct reports.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators.
- Demonstrated project and program management skills within a facility.
- Well developed time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to analyze data and determine actions based on improvement opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
