Job Description

Summary

The Senior Operations Manager is a seasoned leader responsible for driving day-to-day operational efficiency, cost reduction, and overall facility performance across supply chain operations. This role leads and develops managers, supports succession planning, and partners with operational teams to implement solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity. The position requires strong judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage programs, processes, and budgets to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of managers and their supporting teams across multiple shifts and departments.
  • Drive safety, quality, KPI performance, and efficiency initiatives across the facility.
  • Manage annual budget inputs, monitor expenditures, and implement corrective actions for variances.
  • Recruit, select, onboard, and train leadership talent to support the organization.
  • Partner with on-site and virtual operational teams to test, pilot, and implement process improvements.
  • Manage projects, programs, and initiatives within the building to achieve performance goals.
  • Use data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and determine corrective actions.
  • Promote equity and foster engagement and retention of managers and employees.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience developing leaders and growing leadership competencies.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators and facility scorecards.
  • Demonstrated project and program management skills within an operational environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
