Experienced Construction Project Manager responsible for managing high-end retail store construction from concept through turnover. Role focuses on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to luxury quality standards while coordinating designers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee retail construction projects from preconstruction through close-out
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
- Coordinate architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and vendors
- Manage permits, inspections, and compliance with local building codes
- Prepare and manage budgets, change orders, and payment applications
- Solicit and level bids and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors
- Review shop drawings for compliance with design intent and constructability
- Ensure workmanship meets luxury retail standards and enforce on-site safety
- Drive projects to on-time completion and manage punch lists and turnover documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience managing construction projects, preferably high-end retail or hospitality
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and luxury finishes
- Proficiency with project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or Primavera
- Familiarity with P2P software such as SAP
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage complex schedules and multiple fast-paced projects
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
- Ability to travel for site visits and meetings
