Senior Technical Designer, Denim & Roughwear

Summary

The Senior Technical Designer leads technical product execution for an assigned denim and roughwear category. This role owns tech packs, fit and construction decisions, technical standards, and production readiness while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and approve accurate tech packs in PLM.
• Lead fit, construction, specification, and product execution decisions through production approval.
• Resolve complex technical challenges with suppliers, factories, Design, and Product Management.
• Develop and maintain departmental standards, tools, and processes, and drive process improvements.
• Manage seasonal deliverables and technical milestones, and guide and support less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Degree or certification in apparel manufacturing, design, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking, and apparel manufacturing.
• Experience independently managing complex product categories and mentoring or coaching others.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and advanced knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; 3D technology experience preferred.
