Summary
The Senior Technical Designer leads technical execution for an assigned product area, creating and approving production-ready tech packs in PLM. The role partners across design, product management, suppliers, and factories to deliver products that meet fit, construction, quality, and commercialization goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead creation, maintenance, and approval of accurate tech packs and ensure technical execution through production approval.
- Resolve complex fit, construction, and product execution challenges with cross-functional and global partners.
- Establish and maintain departmental tools, standards, best practices, and processes.
- Manage seasonal deliverables and technical milestones, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Guide and support Technical Designers and represent Technical Design in cross-functional discussions.
Requirements
- Degree or certification in apparel manufacturing, design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of garment construction, fit, patternmaking principles, and apparel manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and advanced knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Advanced proficiency in Browzwear or other 3D technologies preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, decision-making, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Experience mentoring or developing others and driving adoption of technical standards and processes.
