Experienced Senior Watchmaker responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and restoring high-complication mechanical timepieces for luxury Maisons. Role emphasizes precision craftsmanship, quality control, mentorship of junior watchmakers, and ongoing technical development.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and servicing of mechanical watches including chronographs, perpetual calendars, and tourbillons
- Disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble, regulate, and replace or fabricate components
- Conduct quality control checks including timing, water resistance, and aesthetic inspections
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior watchmakers
- Stay current with watchmaking technologies and techniques through continuous learning
- Collaborate with colleagues and teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Follow instructions and maintain a high level of workmanship and attention to detail
Requirements
- Recognized watchmaking qualification (eg WOSTEP, SAWTA, AWCI 21 or equivalent)
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience as a watchmaker with exposure to high-end mechanical movements
- Proven expertise in repairing and servicing luxury watch brands
- Exceptional manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with specialized watchmaking tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach to complex repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-standards environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
