Summary

Provide attentive table service by taking and delivering food orders, recommending menu items and pairings, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a luxury retail dining environment. Maintain knowledge of daily specials and menu ingredients and comply with health and safety policies. Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff and refer complex issues to management.

Responsibilities

• Confirm daily specials and describe ingredients to guests
• Record and relay client orders accurately to kitchen
• Recall orders and deliver correct food items to guests
• Ensure guest satisfaction with meals and handle concerns courteously
• Inform guests about new menu items
• Recommend wine and beverage pairings with bartender assistance
• Upsell beverages coffees and desserts when appropriate
• Refer difficult service issues to Manager or Executive Chef
• Comply with health and safety policies and requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role
• Fully bilingual in French and English
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced luxury retail dining environment
