Setter Trainee

Summary

Entry level role in a jewelry manufacturing facility focused on training to become a stone setter. The trainee will learn jewelry fundamentals, tool use, delicate detailing, and Tiffany quality and production standards while working on precious metals and simulated gemstones.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures and report incidents promptly
• Participate in the jeweler training program to learn creation and repair of precious jewelry
• Learn techniques and processes for setting precious stones
• Use and become familiar with various jeweler tools
• Transition learned skills into practical stone setting tasks
• Work collaboratively in a team environment
• Comply with company policies and maintain professional conduct
• Carry out assigned tasks and team requirements

Requirements

• Appropriate hand dexterity demonstrated by bench assessment
• Good English communication skills written and spoken
• Strong hand eye coordination
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow directions
• Ability to sit for long hours
• Must pass a background check
