Job Description

Summary

The Sewer in the Alterations & Tailor Shop delivers high-quality sewing and pressing services to meet customer expectations. They complete alteration work according to Nordstrom guidelines and service standards while managing workload and deadlines. The role requires use of store technology to organize customer orders and collaboration with the alterations and store team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete sewing and pressing tasks according to company guidelines and service standards
  • Execute workload, follow through on customer needs, and complete items on time
  • Meet department and individual productivity goals and follow proper processes and procedures
  • Utilize store technology to manage and organize customer alteration needs
  • Deliver customer expectations through teamwork and collaboration within the alterations and store team

Requirements

  • Previous sewing and pressing experience, preferred minimum of 2-3 years
  • Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment
  • Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs
