Job Description

Summary

The Shoe Operating Assistant supports the customer experience and department operations in the shoe department. This player-coach role works with the Business Manager and associates on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Responsibilities

  • Support customer service initiatives, multiple-unit selling, and department business goals.
  • Maintain stockroom standards and manage jobouts, mismates, damages, repairs, and other inventory processes.
  • Communicate workload progress and observations to the supervisor and Business Manager.
  • Plan and support workload, store initiatives, and high-volume selling days.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and product knowledge skills.
  • Basic math and register skills, with the ability to use multiple technological devices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch, climb ladders, and frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
