Summary

The Cushion Sewer sews fabric and leather upholstery cushions to meet product specifications and quality requirements. This role operates sewing machines and uses hand tools while following production instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines to sew fabric and leather upholstery cushions.
• Read and follow production tickets and sewing notes.
• Join fabric or leather pieces to achieve the required quality and appearance.
• Use hand tools and maintain sewing machines through preventive maintenance.
• Support other duties and work areas as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role and knowledge of upholstery products.
• Ability to read and understand production tickets.
• Effective communication and multitasking skills, with minimal supervision.
• Detail orientation and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to perform prolonged standing and other physical movements, and to lift and move items over 50 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety practices.
