Job Description

Summary

The Specialist, Human Resources supports HR operations and people programs across the Canada market, partnering closely with retail leadership and HR COEs. This hands-on role manages core HR processes including benefits, leaves, payroll exceptions, onboarding and employee engagement initiatives. The Specialist also leads full-cycle recruitment for retail positions and provides HR reporting and tools to improve department effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for employees on benefits, policies, leaves and general HR inquiries.
  • Oversee benefits, disability and leave administration, tracking cases and communicating with stakeholders.
  • Lead execution of employee engagement and DEIB initiatives across the market.
  • Partner with Payroll to resolve pay exceptions and escalated payroll issues.
  • Manage onboarding for retail leadership and corporate roles and support return-to-work plans.
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment for retail roles including sourcing, interviewing and offer presentation.
  • Maintain headcount records, organizational charts and HR trackers; analyze staffing, retention and turnover metrics.
  • Provide general HR administration including invoice processing, project support and development of HR tools and resources.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar HR role, ideally within luxury retail.
  • Hands-on experience with Canadian payroll, benefits administration, workplace accommodations and disability case management.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment and coordinating hiring events and seasonal recruitment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret HR data and produce insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • College or university degree preferred; CPHR, CHRP or CHRL designation an asset.
  • French language fluency is desired.
