Summary
Responsible for protecting information assets and brand reputation through security technologies, processes and governance. Ensures compliance with corporate and regulatory standards, supports implementation of the Information and IT Security roadmap, and provides incident response and on-call security support.
Responsibilities
- Develop maintain and improve security technologies processes and governance for proactive monitoring and detection
- Support implementation and management of the organization’s Information and IT Security roadmap
- Investigate alerts violations and exceptions and provide timely incident resolution per SLAs
- Conduct periodic audits remediate findings from third party security assessments including PCI vulnerability and penetration tests
- Monitor and administer security technologies including firewalls IPS IDS DDoS protection AV NAC DLP proxy and email filtering
- Administer identity management systems AD LDAP Radius two factor authentication and user access provisioning
- Work with internal and external auditors to provide evidence and remediate findings
- Provide out of hours and on call emergency security support as required
- Stay current with security trends provide threat intelligence and recommend solutions
Requirements
- Post secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in network security preferably in retail
- Relevant Cisco certifications and advanced knowledge of Cisco switches routers and controllers
- Advanced knowledge of TCP IP routing and switching protocols and technologies listed
- Experience with Fortinet FortiAnalyzer and other listed security tools
- Experience with Data Centre management ITIL ITSM and change management practices
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper V VMware and cloud environments such as Azure is an asset
- Strong analytical critical thinking and communication skills
