Job Description

Summary

As a Senior Benefits Analyst at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the company's Healthy Wallet programs, including U.S. retirement and savings programs. You will be responsible for analyzing, reporting, advising, and educating on multiple U.S. benefit programs, ensuring compliance with plan documents and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Deferred Compensation Plans for employees and Board of Directors.
  • Support the operation of the 401(k) Plan, including leading audits and non-discrimination testing.
  • Manage communication, education, and compliance for the Merchandise Discount Program.
  • Lead projects such as RFPs, fund changes, and plan design reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Healthy Wallet programs.
  • Ensure programs are competitive, inclusive, and legally compliant.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and best practices.
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of benefits experience.
  • 3+ years of retirement benefits experience.
  • Understanding of ERISA, HIPAA, 409A, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience with trust accounting and institutional investment operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
