Summary
Senior leader responsible for driving data engineering efforts for Finance Technology, leading a team to build and operate data pipelines and platforms primarily on cloud ecosystems. Role focuses on delivery, team development, architecture contributions, and partnership with product and business stakeholders to support finance and sales transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high performing data engineering team following an inverted pyramid leadership model.
- Drive delivery of end to end cross functional projects including product definition and roadmap planning.
- Design and contribute to architecture, coding, test plans, deployment planning, and operations.
- Build new sales data pipelines to support audit and enterprise functions.
- Transition reliance from offshore contractors to an on site team and hire talent as needed.
- Operate within a DevOps model to ensure operational excellence for business critical systems.
- Partner with Program, Product, and Business teams to establish OKRs and measures of success.
- Develop growth plans and mentor engineers based on competencies and talent framework.
- Ensure the team has necessary tools resources and information to succeed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of data or software engineering industry experience.
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- BA BS in Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep familiarity with multi cloud ecosystems including GCP OCI AWS and Azure.
- Experience with AI and ML capabilities within data pipelines and tools like Vertex AI.
- Hands on experience with Looker for dashboarding and reporting.
- Direct experience integrating with major ERP platforms specifically Oracle Cloud ERP.
- Proven experience owning and operating business critical SaaS and custom coded systems.
- Strong focus on engineering standards and review of technology solution designs.
