- Establish and maintain controls.
- Manage projects as assigned by the Director.
- Assign priorities and manage projects including scope, schedules, and deadlines.
- Delegate projects to appropriate associates and empower them.
- Determine staffing requirements and coordinate hiring activities.
- Recommend and support training as appropriate for departments.
- Counsel associates to develop skills within their potential.
- Plan and implement procedures and systems to continuously improve operations.
- Coordinate financial and budget activities for maximum operational efficiency.
- Develop justifications and cost benefits analyses.
- Facilitate the preparation and analysis of reports.
- Organize and manage business meetings.
Requirements- 10+ years optical/manufacturing experience.
- 7+ years supervisory experience.
- Record of solid contributions through sound leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures.
- Good planning and organizational skills with emphasis on strategic planning.
- Excellent ability to analyze information and recognize early warning signals of problems in technical environment followed by sound problem-solving skills.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented with ability to organize multiple projects/tasks at once with multiple deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge in all phases of lens manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient in relevant software applications.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
