Sr Software Engineer - Workday HCM

As a Sr Software Engineer specializing in Workday HCM at Nordstrom, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative HR systems that enhance the company's Human Capital Management operations. • Architect, develop, and implement scalable and reliable HR solutions, including payroll, talent management, and benefits administration.
• Design and develop APIs and integrations to connect HCM systems with internal and external platforms.
• Build cloud-native solutions using AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with HR stakeholders and other engineering teams to define technical solutions.
• Drive automation initiatives and maintain high standards for code quality and testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative team culture.

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with HR HCM systems.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with modern HCM systems like Workday, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and working in a retail or multi-market environment is a plus.
