Staff Accountant

Summary

Detail-oriented Staff Accountant responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end close and audits. The role supports budgeting and internal controls while ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Works closely with analysts and management to respond to information requests and support financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly close processes and meet reporting deadlines
• Contribute to development and review of annual operating budgets and projections
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Respond to information requests and review financial statements
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Knowledge of SAP
• Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure
