Staff Accountant - Long Island City

Summary

Seeking a Staff Accountant to support corporate accounting functions at our Long Island City office. This role involves day-to-day accounting tasks, month end close assistance, and collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month end and year end close activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Maintain general ledger and ensure transaction accuracy
• Prepare account analyses and support audit requests
• Collaborate with other departments on financial inquiries
• Assist with financial reporting and schedule preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Experience with month end close and reconciliations
