Job Description

Summary

As a Staff Accountant at Richemont in Shelton, CT, you will play a crucial role in managing and controlling general ledger accounts, intercompany, and inventory business transactions. You will utilize generally accepted accounting principles to perform analytical work and examine financial data, while identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining processes.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various teams for successful completion of general ledger maintenance and reporting duties.
  • Execute general accounting functions, including recording journal entries, account reconciliations, and P&L analysis.
  • Monitor sales postings across Retail, Wholesale, and E-commerce channels.
  • Review trial balance and provide commentary for variances.
  • Ensure compliance with annual unclaimed property filing requirements.
  • Engage in inventory accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Post and reconcile Intercompany Accounting with trading partners.
  • Prepare lease accounting entries monthly.
  • Reconcile key general ledger accounts in accordance with IFRS.
  • Analyze and reconcile gift certificates, merchandise credits, and customer deposit accounts.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects in inventory and intercompany.
  • Participate in annual internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred.
  • Fixed asset and lease accounting experience a plus.
  • Ability to work both with a team and individually.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
