Job Description

Summary

As a Staff Accountant at Richemont in Shelton, CT, you will support the financial closing, financial operation, and controlling process for Richemont North America Brands. You will ensure compliance with Group and Company policies and procedures, while developing your financial and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the timely financial closing process for month-end and year-end closes, ensuring compliance with IFRS & Group guidelines.
  • Liaise with Maisons and support functions on appropriate accounting treatment of transactions.
  • Handle fixed asset accounting, including CAPEX reporting.
  • Review lease agreements and account for monthly lease contracts.
  • Review trial balance and provide commentary for variances.
  • Participate in annual external and internal audits.
  • Support process improvement projects to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Engage in ad-hoc Accounting projects.
Requirements
  • Accounting degree or minor with around 3 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts and data analytics experience.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of integrity.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; SAP ERP experience a plus.
  • High proficiency in written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines.
