Summary
Part-Time Stock Associate responsible for receiving, organizing and maintaining inventory in the store stock room while supporting the sales team and store management. Role focuses on accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, upkeep of stock room standards and timely communication regarding replenishment and client returns.
Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of merchandise and supply deliveries against documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Provide quick and accurate stock checks and deliver merchandise to the sales floor upon request
- Organize merchandise in the stock room by style, color and size or as directed
- Execute routine cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies to management
- Maintain an organized shipping area and ensure outgoing merchandise is packaged and logged correctly
- Maximize stock space to ensure easy access and efficient store operations
- Communicate new arrivals, replenishment and client returns to management and sales team
- Re-stock packaging supplies and assist in training new hires on shipping and receiving procedures
Requirements
- 1-2 years of stock room experience in a complex retail environment preferred
- Experience with international and domestic freight carriers is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills with Excel experience preferred
- Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods and climb a ladder
- Ability to lift packages up to 20 lbs regularly
