Summary
The Stock & Operations Supervisor oversees back-office and store operational activities to maximize process efficiency, ensure loss prevention, and support excellent customer service at the New York store. Reporting to the Store Manager, the role includes cash management, inventory control, store maintenance and administrative reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage opening and closing procedures, petty cash, cash deposits, and end-of-month reconciliation and reporting.
- Support the sales floor with cash transactions, welcome coverage and merchandise handling.
- Oversee inventory processes including receiving, transfers, consolidation, returns to vendor, cycle counts and stock takes.
- Monitor repairs, on-hold items, made-to-measure, damaged merchandise and seasonal sales merchandise.
- Coordinate packaging replenishment, staff uniforms, store consumables and management allowances.
- Liaise with security agencies and suppliers; oversee store alarm, maintenance and infrastructure (AC, lighting, fire systems, elevators).
- Conduct daily floor counts and jewelry checks and implement loss prevention procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years prior experience in a similar position.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Availability to work at least 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays per month, annual inventory and holiday season.
- Strong planning, organisation, attention to detail, proactivity and a sense of ownership.
