Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for overall store performance at the Vancouver Oakridge Shopping Centre, driving sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory and expense control, people management, and operational excellence while building clientele and executing store strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement store strategy and annual action plans to achieve sales and financial targets.
- Monitor and communicate store sales and KPIs and create action plans based on performance.
- Manage scheduling, payroll, head count and expense budgets to ensure efficient store operations.
- Recruit, train and develop store personnel and ensure team adherence to policies and procedures.
- Lead clienteling efforts to grow and maintain the customer database and ensure CRM standards are met.
- Oversee merchandising and visual standards, analyze product reports, and manage slow and best sellers.
- Ensure accuracy of POS transactions, cash handling, banking procedures and store cleanliness.
- Collaborate with home office and visual associate to align store operations with company direction.
- Maintain physical ability to perform store duties including standing, lifting and manual tasks.
Requirements
- Previous retail customer service experience in the luxury market.
- Previous keyholder or store leadership experience; multi-unit management experience preferred.
- Previous client book and clienteling experience preferred.
- Strong financial management, leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to recruit, train and develop store teams and manage performance.
- Elevated market awareness and networking skills.
- 4-year degree or equivalent combination of work experience preferred.
