Job Description

Summary

As a Store Manager at the St Louis Outlet, you will lead the Chesterfield, Missouri store, overseeing daily operations, team management, merchandise, and sales results. You will report to the Regional Manager and be responsible for loss prevention compliance, human resources management, and visual merchandising presentation. Your leadership will ensure positive and inclusive client experiences, contributing to the store's commercial success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Implement a culture that leverages all KPIs.
  • Analyze sales figures and KPIs to understand performance and sales opportunities.
  • Deliver excellence and strive to exceed client expectations.
  • Drive the team to embrace a clienteling culture and build strong client relationships.
  • Ensure the execution of company CRM initiatives with action plans.
  • Promote brand awareness and establish market/store presence through community engagement and events.
  • Ensure store visual standards are met and maintained in partnership with the visual merchandising team.
  • Support the visual team in planning and performing changes in the visual environment.
  • Review sales frequently and take action on visual merchandising to improve sales.
  • Develop, train, and motivate associates to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
  • Lead the recruitment process and build a talent pipeline through networking and competitive shopping.
  • Provide guidance to associates and deliver constructive feedback through coaching conversations.
  • Oversee performance processes for all associates and assist in establishing goals and objectives.
  • Build development plans for employees and create action plans.
  • Ensure a consistent onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Schedule effectively to drive sales and manage staff resources.
  • Partner with Regional Manager and Human Resources for employee relations issues.
  • Promote a culture of belonging and ensure all individuals feel welcomed, valued, and included.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to meet key performance indicators and profit and loss expectations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and shrink rates within company standards.
  • Maintain store operating budget and aim to reduce overall costs.
  • Comply with all Loss Prevention audits and inventory reconciliations.
  • Oversee the processing of merchandise requests and shipments.
  • Develop accurate monthly schedules and ensure timely submission of payroll records.
  • Uphold company and store standards, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of retail experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing others in a customer service environment.
  • Proven record of motivating, developing, and coaching team members.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze retail KPIs and on-floor behaviors.
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to business needs.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills.
  • Passion for the Marc Jacobs brand and product offering.
  • Passionate about the customer experience.
  • Delivers excellence by demonstrating passion and empathy, and exceeding client expectations.
  • Cultivates an entrepreneurial spirit and embraces change and new opportunities.
  • Creative and innovative, promoting curiosity, diversity, and collaboration.
  • Ability to connect with customers through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and business acumen.
  • Computer skills including operating a POS and navigating Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
