SummaryThe Supervisor, Loss Prevention plays a critical role in the daily oversight of Loss Prevention operations and personnel in their assigned stores. The Supervisor provides leadership support to the Loss Prevention Manager, Store Management, Associates and directly leads and trains a team of Loss Prevention Investigators. The Supervisor reinforces the organization’s core values and supports overall store compliance to company policies and effective execution of internal and external loss investigations.
Responsibilities- Supervise team of Loss Prevention Investigators and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Serve as a business partner in generating, analyzing and communicating reports related to stock shortage performance and fraud prevention objectives.
- Review inventory accuracy and shortage controls to determine risk exposures and provide recommendations.
- Communicate store audit results to store management to address operational opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety functions and timely completion of incident reports.
- Collaborate with store teams to communicate Loss Prevention directives and Merchandise Protection Standards.
- Partner with Store Operations on inventory cycle counts and stock loss investigations.
- Collaborate on Security and Safety plans for store events.
- Oversee review of exception based reports to identify policy infractions and initiate investigations.
- Conduct internal and external Loss Prevention investigations with law enforcement.
- Lead, motivate and retain high performing teams, providing coaching and development.
- Ensure compliance with privacy policies and cyber security measures.
Requirements- Degree or diploma in Law Enforcement or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years of progressive Loss Prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Proven leadership capabilities with initiative and accountability.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Formal training in WZ interview techniques or related interviewing techniques.
- Experience leading change in a rapidly growing business environment.
- Current Provincial Security Guard License.
- Standard First Aid, CPR OPA Level II.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and system-based tools.
