Summary
The Supervisor Loss Prevention oversees daily loss prevention operations and personnel in assigned stores, supporting the Loss Prevention Manager and store management. This role leads and trains a team of Loss Prevention Investigators, assesses risk exposures, coordinates investigations, and enforces merchandise protection and safety standards to reduce stock loss and improve compliance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and schedule a team of Loss Prevention Investigators to ensure adequate coverage and departmental standards
- Generate analyze and communicate reports on stock shortage performance internal and external investigations and fraud prevention
- Review inventory accuracy and shortage controls to identify risk exposures trends and recommend corrective actions
- Communicate store audit results and collaborate with store management to address operational opportunities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and timely completion of incident reports and training
- Collaborate with store teams to implement Loss Prevention directives merchandise protection standards and event security plans
- Partner with Store Operations on inventory cycle counts and lead stock loss investigations
- Oversee exception report reviews initiate internal investigations and work with HR and investigators on actionable issues
- Conduct investigations with law enforcement and external agencies to mitigate theft and fraud
Requirements
- Degree diploma in Law Enforcement or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressive Loss Prevention experience in a high volume fast paced retail environment
- Proven leadership capabilities with ability to coach motivate and retain high performing teams
- Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills and formal interview training such as WZ techniques
- Current Provincial Security Guard License and Standard First Aid CPR OPA Level II
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude for system based tools
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners and maintain privacy and cyber security compliance
