Job Description

Summary

As a Supply Chain Operations Intern at Nordstrom in Seattle, WA, you will be an integral part of our supply chain organization, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to various projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to blend your academic knowledge with practical skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in potential assignments in Warehouse Operations, Quality, Planning, Transportation Planning & Logistics, and Supply Chain Engineering.
  • Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and support network optimization projects.
  • Drive cross-functional improvements and leverage key tools, technology, and resources.
  • Support various components and activities spanning the project management life cycle, such as business case analysis, detailed requirements, and issues management.
  • Implement and manage leading-edge distribution technology.
  • Report out to the Leadership Team on key business points learned from the internship experience.
Requirements
  • Currently a junior or senior college student working toward a bachelor's degree in a Supply Chain focused degree or related field.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in supply chain, transportation, or operations.
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and basic SQL.
  • Ability to move to Seattle for the duration of the 10-week summer internship.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
