Job Description

Summary

As a Sustainability Junior Specialist at Chanel, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sustainability goals and reporting requirements. You will work closely with regional and global teams to coordinate sustainability efforts and manage initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate sustainability efforts for Canada and collaborate with regional and global teams.
  • Identify and prioritize sustainability gaps and develop a comprehensive roadmap for gap closure.
  • Administer sustainability initiatives and projects for Canada and globally as needed.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage all project-related work.
  • Gather industry and market intelligence and prepare detailed sustainability reports.
  • Source, review, and manage quotations and contracts for project-related purchases.
  • Foster and manage stakeholder relationships across business units and suppliers.
  • Measure metrics and key performance indicators for new commitments.
  • Develop a structured reporting process to monitor progress and share with leadership.
  • Create dashboards using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Assist in quarterly and year-end sustainability reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance implementation, metrics, and communications.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and procurement.
  • Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
  • Certifications in Sustainability are a plus.
  • Expertise in advanced data analysis and sustainability reporting.
  • Strong communication and PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ERP and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms.
  • Innovative thinking and ability to work independently.
