Provide professional tailoring and fitting services to customers, ensuring garments are measured, fitted, and altered to Nordstrom quality and service standards. Utilize sewing and pressing machinery and store technology to manage alteration requests while meeting productivity goals and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and fit garments on customers
• Mark areas requiring alterations and perform sewing alterations
• Complete customer fittings and alterations on time following company guidelines
• Meet department and individual productivity goals
• Use store technology to manage and organize alteration needs
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork and collaboration
• Educate customers and employees on proper fit, style, and construction

Requirements

• Previous fitting tailoring and sewing experience, preferred minimum of 2 years
• Clear professional communication with coworkers and customers
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing pressing machinery and alterations equipment
• Flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs
