Summary
In-Store Tailor reporting to the Store Manager at the Brioni DC boutique. Serve as a brand ambassador performing measurements for Bespoke and Ready-to-Wear collections, executing alterations and mending, and advising sales staff to achieve optimal fit. Role may include travelling to provide at-home services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately take body measurements and communicate them to the atelier and Bespoke ambassador per Brioni standards
- Apply tailoring techniques to adjust for differing body configurations and clearly explain recommendations to clients
- Advise clients and sales advisors on alterations needed to achieve the best fit for Ready-to-Wear garments
- Take measurements for Bespoke collections including suits, shirts, and casualwear
- Perform mending and alterations on Ready-to-Wear garments using industrial sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques
- Assist store personnel to satisfy client fitting needs and support in-store tailoring operations
Requirements
- Education from pattern making or tailoring schools
- 3+ years of tailoring experience, ideally in luxury menswear
- Fluent English; Spanish desirable
- Strong understanding of garment construction and confidence with industrial machines and hand stitching
- Advanced knowledge of fabrics and hand-sewing techniques including buttonholes; timely with work orders
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, customer-focused, and able to communicate effectively
